Nitol Niloy Unveils 125cc Sports-Feel Motorcycle, Hero Xtreme R
Nitol Niloy Group has officially launched the 125cc sports-feel motorcycle, the Hero Xtreme R. The pre-booking announcement for the model was made by the group’s Managing Director, Abdul Musabbir Ahmed, during a theatrical presentation by bike stunt riders at a launch event held on Thursday evening at the Radisson Hotel in Dhaka.
Attended by members of the biking community and channel partners, the event revealed that pre-booking for the Hero Xtreme R will begin on Facebook starting Monday. The motorcycle will be available in mid-November, with a price tag of BDT 171,000. Customers can secure their booking for BDT 5,000 and receive the bike within three weeks.
Also present at the event was Nitol Niloy Group CFO Bijoy Kumar Mondal. It was disclosed that the Hero Xtreme R model is being produced at a factory in Jessore, established as a joint venture between Hero MotoCorp Ltd. and Nitol Niloy Group. Although the base model of the bike was launched internationally in January, the version introduced in Bangladesh has been customized for local riders. Special features include a pillion handgrip, engine muffler, and leg guard, along with a 5-year warranty.
Despite its 125cc engine, the Hero Xtreme R is designed with a sporty front and rear section, positioning it as a competitor to other popular models in the market such as the TVS Raider and Bajaj Pulsar 125. However, some bikers at the event expressed concerns about the price.
The key features of the Hero Xtreme R include a 124.7cc single-cylinder engine producing a maximum power of 11.55 PS and a torque of 10.5 Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The bike offers a fuel efficiency of 66 kilometers per liter and has a 10-liter fuel tank, making it capable of covering long distances, such as from Teknaf to Tetulia, with just two refuels. The motorcycle is available in red, blue, and black.
